The Philadelphia Eagles are ready to receive a stellar successor, though not by taking one in the NFL Draft, as many expected.
The Eagles on Thursday agreed to acquire a wide successor to AJ Brown in a deal with the Tennessee Titans, sending back selections no. 18 and 101 in the draft.

Brown, a Pro Bowl selection in 2020, stopped volunteering out of season when he entered the final year of his rookie contract. However, Titans general manager John Robinson said last week that he had not imagined the team trading with Brown.
“I don’t expect that to happen,” he said.
Robinson remained hopeful that an extension could be reached this off-season.
“The decision we made today was difficult,” Robinson told a news conference Thursday night after the deal. “I really appreciate what AJ has done here for our football team, on the field, in the community. We had back and forth discussions. We got to a place where it would be difficult to make a deal and the trade thing came from (from there).
Brown said on Twitter after the deal in a tweet he later deleted: “Tennessee, I love you and you will be in my heart forever and I can say this now … IT WASN’T MY FAULT. But I wish you all the best. Love. “

The Titans used a pickaxe №18 as a potential replacement for Brown in Arkansas broadband successor Traylon Burks.
