Furnace oil is more than $ 2 a liter as fuel prices rise again

Fuel prices rose again on Friday morning in the regular weekly adjustment by the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission.

Oil and diesel rose 16 cents a liter, while gas rose five cents a liter.

The maximum price for oil in the furnace is now $ 2.04 per liter, a record high for Prince Edward Island.

Diesel costs $ 2.50 per liter, also a record high for PEI, and gasoline is $ 1.85 per liter, just below its peak in March.

This is the second price increase in two days. IRAC raised prices on Thursday morning in an unplanned review.
