A zombie knife and a bag full of drugs were seized by police after a man led police on foot to chase through his neighbors’ gardens.
Merseyside police arrested a wanted man on Wednesday (April 27th) after trying to escape from a house with a bag full of cannabis. Police visited the Halewood house around 10 a.m. to arrest the man, but he tried to escape through the back door carrying a large sports bag.
Police detained the man in a neighbor’s garden after a brief chase and found that the bag contained a significant amount of cannabis. A search of the house followed, and officers found 1.5kg of cannabis, 22 cannabis seedlings, drug paraphernalia and a large zombie knife.

A 33-year-old Halewood man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis. He was detained for questioning and then released for investigation while the investigation continues.
Inspector Paul McKinn said: “We found a large amount of illegal drugs during this incident, as well as a knife that could obviously cause fear, serious injury or worse. We know that those involved in drug trafficking use threats, violence and intimidation to perpetuate their illicit trafficking, and they are not interested in the impact this has on the communities in which they work.
“Our staff is committed to keeping communities safe and will take all necessary steps to ensure that suspects are brought to justice. We will ruthlessly persecute anyone who tries to evade justice. If you have information about the drug trade in your area, contact us and we will act on any intelligence we receive. ”
