A woman minister revealed that she was “nailed to the wall” by a man, an MP, who made sexual advances to her.
Anne-Marie Trevelian also said she had been at the “sharp end” of misogyny by some of her colleagues “many times”.
She warned male lawmakers that they should keep their hands in their pockets and “behave as you would if you had a daughter in the room.”
Her comments come today as Chris Heaton-Harris, the Tories’ chief whip, faces pressure to remove a Conservative MP accused by fellow women of openly watching pornography in the municipality.
Heaton-Harris advised the two women to direct their colleague to an independent grievance process.
