Calgary police released photos of six suspects in connection with a stabbing at the SAIT CT station this week.

Officers were called to the train platform shortly before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday for alerts to a man in medical care. The man was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries, as investigators found that six men attacked the victim in a staircase connecting the Jubilee Auditorium with the CTrain station. One of the suspects stabbed the victim and the six fled the scene.

The victim managed to climb the stairs and use a button to help one of the emergency call boxes of the transport system.

It is not known whether the victim and the attackers knew each other or whether the attack was accidental.

On Friday, the police service released still photos of the six suspects and asked anyone with information about the attack to call 403-266-1234. Anonymous tips can be sent through Crime Stoppers.
