Avalanche, the first to be placed in the Western Conference, was selected by seven of 16 employees to win it all. The Flames, the second seed in the West, was chosen by four employees.
The only other team selected by more than one employee was the Florida Panthers, the first in the Eastern Conference to receive two elections.
Two-time Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning, as well as Carolina Hurricanes and Toronto Maple Leafs received one choice each.
As for the Conn Smythe trophy, given to the most valuable player in the Stanley Cup playoffs, Avalanche center Nathan McKinnon received four choices, while Colorado defender Cale McCarthy received three choices.
Flams goalkeeper Jacob Markström received two choices, while Calgary striker Johnny Godrot and Matthew Tkachuk received one choice.
Others who received votes for Conn Smythe were strikers Jonathan Huberdo of the Panthers (two), Sebastian Aho of the Hurricanes and Mitchell Marner of the Maple Leafs, and defender Victor Hedman of Lightning.
