In a statement, Ash thanked the people of Vancouver-Kilchen and all the candidates by taking a few farewell photos.

“I would like to congratulate Kevin Falcon on his return to the legislature. “I’m proud of the campaign we ran, focusing on BC NDP’s achievements in working for people and how it differs from Kevin Falcon’s record of working for the rich and well-connected,” Ash said.

“I gave him the opportunity to turn to his record for cuts that hurt women and people seeking mental health support, his opposition to the speculation tax and his clear welcome of his party’s anti-scientific climate denial. Unfortunately, he avoided responsibility for all these issues and even avoided debate.
