Google Pixel Watch can be offered with improved battery life compared to its competitors. According to a new report by 9To5Google, the upcoming Google Pixel Watch will be available with a 300 mAh battery. The report also mentions that the upcoming Wear OS device will also include cellular connectivity. Although the models that will support this feature are not known, three different variants have recently been spotted online. These specs are very promising and could make the Pixel Watch a hit.
Currently, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 comes with a 247 mAh battery and offers nearly 24 hours of battery life. If the Pixel Watch really comes with a 300 mAh battery, it would be superior to the Galaxy Watch 4. In addition, the report mentions that the Google Pixel Watch is about 4 mm thick and 10 grams heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. as a larger battery will require more space.
The Google Pixel Watch may include a Samsung chipset
In addition to battery capacity, it will be interesting to see what optimizations Google makes on the software front to increase the efficient battery life of the device. Since Samsung uses Google’s Wear OS instead of its own Galaxy Watch 4 operating system, it won’t be surprising to see Google use Samsung’s Exynos W920 chipset. More details about the Pixel Watch should appear in the coming days.
