After a two-week investigation into the fraud, Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS) recovered $ 10,000 worth of Home Depot products.

The OSPS said the goods were purchased with a stolen credit card on Saturday (April 16th) and that the investigation followed the delivery of the products to a rented store. After receiving a search warrant, police said the products were found and returned to the Home Depot.

As a result of the investigation, a 46-year-old woman from Owen Sound was arrested and faced several charges, including fraud over $ 5,000.

The woman is due to appear before the Court of Ontario – Owen Sound in May 2022.
