Hurd filed a restraining order against Depp without notice, a lawyer said
Amber Heard has reportedly fired her PR team after being upset by “bad headlines” covering her lawsuit against ex-husband Johnny Depp.
The 36-year-old actress, who was represented by Precision Strategies, is said to have decided to hire Los Angeles-based consulting firm Shane Communications before testifying.
So far, 58-year-old Johnny has stood up in the defamation lawsuit, but jurors will hear 36-year-old Amber later this week.
The actor is suing his ex-partner for defamation over a 2018 article she wrote in The Washington Post that his lawyers mistakenly believe he mistreated her physically and sexually.
Amber made a change in her PR team at the last minute after being “disappointed”, her story not being told “effectively”, according to the New York Post.

A source said: “She doesn’t like bad headlines.”
Crisis communications expert Lees Smith told the paper: “It’s crazy to change teams in the middle of a test like this because you don’t like the headlines.”
Mirror Online contacted Precision Strategies, Shane Communications and Amber representatives for comment.
Last week, the court heard that Amber threatened to serve Johnny with a restraining order if he did not continue to give her free rent in three of his penthouses in LA.
On May 24, 2016, a letter was sent to Depp’s lawyer Jacob Bloom – just three days after the couple had an explosive argument, with Amber claiming that her ex had hit her with a cell phone – which Johnny denies.

A letter from Hurd’s lawyer at the time, Samantha Spector, said Amber had not filed a restraining order against Johnny and wanted to find “long-term solutions out of the public eye.”
Samantha asked Amber to have “exclusive use and possession” of a black Range Rover, as well as to be able to live in three penthouses in West Hollywood with “Johnny to continue to pay mortgage and utility bills.”
In the letter, the actor also asked for a contribution of $ 100,000 for reasonable attorney’s fees and $ 25,000 for court accounting costs to be paid by May 27 – three days after the letter was sent.
Also Thursday, a court heard Amber’s former billionaire, Elon Musk, pay nearly half of the American Civil Liberties Actress’s donation.
The actress promised to give the charity $ 3.5 million from her divorce agreement.
The jury heard how the 50-year-old founder of Tesla, who had an affair with Amber from 2016-2017, made a donation of $ 500,000 on behalf of the actress.

Terence Doherty, chief operating officer and chief adviser to ACLU, said the charity has received $ 1.3 million so far, with Amber contributing $ 350,000 and Johnny donating $ 100,000 and $ 350,000 from investment firm Fidelity.
He said $ 500,000 came from investment firm Vanguard, which he said was “a fund set up by Elon Musk.”
Terrence said in an email to the billionaire that the charity considered Amber’s donation a “pledge” that would be given for 10 years.
Hurd’s lawyers told the court earlier that Amber intended to give the donation in full to the charity, but used her divorce agreement to pay her legal fees.
Johnny’s bodyguards also testified Thursday when he appeared via video link from his Essex home.

Malcolm Connelly, who originally worked for the actor, his children and his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, before meeting Amber in 2010, described how the actress was a “favorite” at the beginning of the relationship of Hollywood stars.
However, he claims that she soon became “persistent” and “demanding”.
He said: “I could see that Amber wanted to wear the pants in the relationship, it was quite obvious.”
Malcolm described several incidents he said he had witnessed, claiming to have noticed the actress throwing things at her partner, including a lighter or a box of pop. He also said that Johnny would sometimes have scratches on his face.
The security guard went on to testify that he thought Johnny was “not happy” on his honeymoon before adding that his injuries seemed to increase.
The process continues.
