A South Yorkshire police spokesman said: “The official identification has been made and his family and friends have been informed and supported by specially trained staff at this difficult time. We ask that their privacy be respected in this very difficult time. “
They added: “Officers and detectives would like to thank the many members of the public who have so far responded to help with the investigation and provide evidence, photos and videos to support this. But detectives would still like to talk to anyone who may have been inside or outside the Vintage Rock Bar at the time who may be able to help with inquiries they haven’t spoken to yet.

Jamie Adam Kelly, 30, of Leeds, died in hospital today after a brawl in downtown Doncaster last night (Sunday, May 1)
At around 9.40pm yesterday (Sunday, May 1st), a man was reportedly kicked out of the Silver Street Vintage Rock Bar, where what police described as a “physical altercation” with three other men outside was reported.
“The victim was seriously injured. Officers provided CPR at the scene until a Yorkshire ambulance arrived and the victim was transported to hospital.
“An autopsy is to be performed tomorrow (Tuesday, May 3),” the spokesman added.

Police have called for an incident with a firearm in the Red Lion pub in Doncaster – two Sheffields …
A 40-year-old man from Worksop, a 26-year-old man from Nottingham and a 33-year-old man from Doncaster were further arrested on suspicion of murder after all three men were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault at the scene. They all remain in police custody while the investigation continues.
The inquiries continue.
