BC Wildfire Service says the two fires burning near Westwold are less than a hectare.
A forest fire officer tells Castanet that the K40148 and K40149 fires have crews. Three crew members are on K40148, while K40149 has one person in charge of the fire.
“The probability of success for them is quite high,” said the policeman.
The causes of the fires are being clarified, but are believed to have been caused by humans.
The degree of danger of forest fires in the area is low-moderate.
“Please be responsible, be careful and do what you can to prevent forest fires,” BCWS said on Twitter.
