Spotify enters Roblox ‘s metaverse Digital

Spotify entered Roblox with the launch of Spotify Island.

The streaming giant has joined the major labels in the Roblox metaverse with an interactive presence. Spotify is the first streaming brand on the gaming platform.

Spotify Island will allow fans to create new sounds together, hang out in digital spaces and gain access to exclusive merchandise.

“Roblox users can mingle with artists, perform interactive quests and unlock exclusive content,” the statement said. “Players can also enjoy an immersive audio experience by creating music and exploring sounds in virtual stations to create beats powered by Soundtrap.”

From the main island of Spotify, gamers will be able to connect with themed islands that will come to life all year round. These destinations will include exclusive content, artist interactions and themed “mini-quests”.

The first themed experience to launch this spring is K-Park, which is focused on K-pop and will give fans the opportunity to interact with Stray Kids and Sunmi.

“Through Spotify Island, we create an easy opportunity for artists to connect with fans and partner with Spotify to create in-game virtual goods,” the statement said. “Some of these Spotify sales will go back directly to the artists themselves. We will work with artists to create more opportunities like this in the coming months. “
