The Sonos budget soundtrack can be Sonos Ray and look like this

(Pocket-lint) – Sonos is reported to be developing a “cheap” or affordable soundtrack that costs less than $ 250. More details about this device have now appeared.

As The Verge first noted, the now-removed retail ad at Colombian store Ktronix has revealed Sonos’ budget soundtrack will be called Sonos Ray. It will be more compact than the 25-inch Sono Beam Gen 2, with a length of only 22 inches. (It will also be a little taller and thinner.) The images show that Sonos Ray only accepts optical audio input. There is no support for HDMI or Dolby Atmos or even microphones for voice controls on board the soundtrack.

But maybe that’s why it will be cheaper.

The soundtrack offers a pair of speakers and speakers and will be available with several Sonos features. For example, it will have Trueplay Calibration, which will use your phone or tablet to adjust the sound setting to your room. It will also have “crystal clear dialogue” for movies and TV shows, as well as voice assistant support so you can use another smart speaker to control Sonos Ray. The Verge said the soundtrack could also be used for surround sound when connected to other Sonos speakers.
