The provincial government announced several initiatives this morning related to tourism and “Homecoming”.
Tourism Minister Steve Crocker says the government is doing everything possible to ensure the province is ready for company this summer.
So far, the announcement has taken place this morning at the historic Commissariat House, which is taking shape in itself, as the province continues to literally tidy up its houses for the season.
A total of almost $ 4 million has been set aside for upgrades to various sites to “provide a better experience for locals and travelers.”
There will also be free access to these sites as part of the Come Home year, which runs from May 21 until the official end of the season on October 7.
In addition, a new website of provincial historic sites was launched today with more in-depth content for each of the 12 sites, especially for virtual visitors.
