Actor Mike Hagarty has died at the age of 67.

Mike’s colleague Bridget Everett announced the sad news on social media, writing: “It is with great sadness that Michael G. Hagarty’s family announced his death yesterday in Los Angeles.

“His favorite heroic actor, his love for his hometown of Chicago and his family were the cornerstones of his life.

“Mike, a devoted husband, survived by his wife Mary Catherine, his sister Mary Ann Hagerty [and] her wife Kathleen O’Rourke and their daughter Meg.

“He will be greatly missed.”

Mike was best known for his recurring role as construction supervisor, Mr. Trieger, from 1995 to 2001.

One of his iconic scenes saw him dance with Joey while practicing some movements in an attempt to impress Marge’s love interest.
