A man was killed and another was injured in a shooting in Toronto

A man is dead after a shooting early in the morning in Scarborough Square on Saturday.

Toronto police respond to gunshots after a brawl in a parking lot in Morningside and Sheppard Square around 3 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers identified two victims with gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to hospital, but a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead shortly afterwards, police said.

A 20-year-old man has life-threatening injuries.

Police said they were looking for a suspect, but did not release a description.

“There were a lot of people here when the police arrived. Emergency services arrived, paramedics were on the scene very, very quickly and helped the victims. And so we were able to talk to a lot of people who were in the area at the time, but we urge anyone else who may have information to speak out, because everything helps, “said Inspector Jeff Basingthwaite on duty at the scene.

Anyone with information or camera footage is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
