Electricity has been restored in the Lake Country area after residents dealt with a second power outage in so many days – Kelowna News

Power was restored to thousands of people in Lake Country and surrounding areas after residents were affected by a widespread outage on Saturday morning.

The break comes a day after a break of similar magnitude on Friday morning, and a Lake County resident said they were without electricity on Thursday.

The reason for the break on Saturday remains unclear at the moment, but Castanet turned to BC Hydro for more information.

Residents of Lake Country are dealing with another mass outage for the second day in a row.

The outage happened around 7 am on Saturday morning and more than 3,500 homes are currently affected.

Properties on both the eastern and western sides of Lake Okanagan are affected, including Lake Country, Pixie Beach, Cedar Grove, Fintry, Ewing and Killiney Beach.

BC Hydro says the reason for the interruption is under investigation and teams have been appointed for the interruption.
