Raleigh cops fatally shoot a man who threw Molotov cocktails at the station

Cops in Raleigh, North Carolina, shot dead a man who was throwing Molotov cocktails in front of the police station on Saturday, authorities said.

The incident began around 1:20 p.m., when an unidentified suspect began setting fire to cars in the police parking lot with incendiary weapons, officials said at a news conference.

“This man has been ordered to stop his actions,” said Rally Police Chief Estella Patterson.

“The person continued to throw a lot of Molotov cocktails in the parking lot and eventually to our employees who were there.

Four cops then opened fire on the man, shooting him “many times,” according to Patterson.

Police removed the suspects from two burning cars and tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate him, police said.

Footage from the policeman’s cameras will be released pending a court order, the chief said.
