Clarkston, Michigan – The sheriff of Auckland County is looking for a woman from the town of Independence who, according to them, fatally shot her boyfriend and brother on Sunday morning.

Police say lawmakers responded to apartments in Independence Square on Sunday around 3:20 a.m. in Clarkston.

Two bodies in which the shooting took place were found in the apartment.

Detectives say they believe Taverner left the apartment where the incident took place on foot. She does not have her car or mobile phone with her.

Taverner’s 25-year-old brother and 26-year-old friend were the victims found in the apartment.

Authorities say the motive for the shooting is unknown and the relationship between Taverner and their partner is unclear.

“Our refugee detention team, other detectives and assets are actively searching for this murder suspect, whom we believe is armed and dangerous,” said Sheriff Michael Bouchard. “Please contact 911 if you see it or know its location.”
