The puppy was found safely after being stolen by the SPCA in Pennsylvania

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – A puppy stolen from the Pennsylvania SPCA headquarters in Philadelphia has been found, according to officials.

The PSPCA said the surveillance video filmed a woman stealing a mix of white terrier from her kennel around 2:19 p.m. She then put it in her bag before leaving the building.

At about 9 p.m., PSPCA officials said the dog had been handed over to the Philadelphia Police Department.

The team of the organization for humane law enforcement and the police are investigating this incident and working to bring the offender to justice.

Indulgence may be considered if the puppy is returned to the shelter immediately and safely.

“The stolen puppy was adopted by a family that was looking forward to a new member of the family and remained in the shelter only for its sterilization, which was scheduled for tomorrow,” said the PSCPA.
