Emergency crews are responding to a major vehicle crash in Milton

The Halton Regional Police Office (HRPS), Milton and the Halton Hills unit are at the scene of a collision with a motorcycle involving multiple vehicles.

Police said the crash happened at the intersection of Derry Road and James Snow Parkway South in Milton.

Firefighters, ambulances and police were called in to respond.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area as there are ambulances on site.

UPDATE: The first reports indicate that the motorcyclist died on the spot. There is currently no official statement from the police.
