Avatar: Avatar: The Way of the Water: Dive back into Pandora

The first trailer for “Avatar: The Way of the Water” hit the Internet on Monday after making its debut at CinemaCon and then before “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” – but if you haven’t seen it yet, expect a treat.

The sequel to “Avatar” was directed by James Cameron, based on his hit from 2009, and now he takes us underwater with stunning cinema from the outside world.

The action takes place more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of the Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Naitiri and their children), the troubles that follow, the length they reach, beware of each other, the battles they fight to stay alive and the tragedies they endure.

“I know one thing: wherever we go, this family is our stronghold,” said Jake Sully of Sam Worthington at the end of the trailer.

The trailer is light on the plot beyond that, but hints at one of the Sullys’ children, raised as a Na’vi but looking human. And so much of Pandora’s glorious exploration takes place over a pristine ocean full of life, including a massive aquatic beast.

Directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and John Landau, the film stars Zoe Saldana, Worthington, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang, all returning from the original film, as well as newcomers Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, Falco Jem, CCO Pounder, Edie and Kate Winslet.

Waterway is the first of four sequels that 20th Century Studios will release over the next few years, and Cameron has spent time with them since the original film was released in 2009. Countless delays and more than a decade since the original performed a miracle about the appetite for a new movie “Avatar”, not to mention four of them.

But the original Avatar was a groundbreaking event that took 3-D technology to new heights and was one of the last original blockbusters to rise to great heights from word of mouth in its own show. The film was nominated for nine Oscars, including Best Picture, and won three. After being re-released in China last year, which proved that there is still great excitement for this franchise, “Avatar” remains the highest grossing film of all time worldwide with $ 2.84 billion.

“Avatar: The Way of the Water” opens in theaters on December 16, and 20th Century Studios reissued the original “Avatar” on September 23.
