Two injured in a massive fire in the Raleigh apartment complex :: WRAL.com

Raleigh, North Carolina – A huge fire hit an apartment complex in Raleigh on Wednesday night.

About 75 were called to The Oak Apartments in block 3900 of Water Oak Drive, off New Hope Road.

At least three blocks were completely destroyed by the fire. Raleigh Fire Chief Brian Cheryl said two people were injured in the blaze.

Neighbors told WRAL News that the fire had been burning for more than two hours before firefighters put it out.

Firefighters did not say what caused the fire and how many apartments were damaged.

The American Red Cross was on the scene to help the homeless from the fire.
