The Detroit Lions and the rest of the NFL will publish the full 2022 schedule at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday night. But throughout the day, several games will run along the way, allowing us to slowly build the schedule before the official release. That’s what this post is about.
We already know the 17 opponents that the Lions will face this year. This is determined by a fairly standard process. This year the Lions will have their normal six divisional games, they will play with every team in the NFC East and every team in the AFC East. In addition, they have a bonus home game against an opponent from the AFC (Jaguars) thanks to the recent transition to a schedule of 17 games.
As a reminder, here are the opponents as host and guest for the 2022 season.
