The Atlanta-born recently spoke about the treatment of his friend Young Thug after he and several other people with YSL ties were arrested on RICO charges.
“YSL is a family. YSL is a label. YSL is a way of life. YSL is a way of life. YSL is not a gang. YSL is not a criminal [organization]. YSL is not a street gang. “YSL is not a mafia,” he wrote at the time.
Young Thug and 27 others were arrested earlier this week on suspicion of gang involvement and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s racketeering law.

According to The New York Times, the indictment alleges that Young Thug, born Jeffrey Williams, founded Young Slime Life, a gang formed in Atlanta in 2012 with ties to the Bloods.
It also alleges that YSL members were “involved in a wide variety of illegal activities, including intimidation of witnesses, murder, attempted murder, car theft, robbery, theft and drug trafficking.”
Young Thug insists he has never committed a crime and that YSL is not a street gang.
