NS gas prices are likely to rise at midnight on Monday

Residents of Nova Scotia can expect another rise in gas prices.

The Nova Scotia Utilities and Review Council said Monday it would use its cut-off mechanism to adjust gasoline prices at midnight, but did not say where prices were moving.

Robert Jones of CBC News, which analyzes fuel prices, estimates that pump prices could rise by up to 10 cents a liter.

Halifax residents pay a minimum of about $ 1.98 per liter of regular self-service gasoline, which means the price could rise to $ 2.08 per liter once the price changes. The current price in Cape Breton is a minimum of $ 2 per liter.

As the reason for the change in the price, UARB again pointed out “significant changes in the market price of gasoline”.

Tonight the price of diesel will not change.
