Strictly Come Dancing spoilers follow.
Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli left the show after 18 years, with Anton du Becke joining him permanently as his deputy.
Bruno announced on Thursday (May 19th) The One Show that travel commitments for the Disney + movie Dancing with the Stars in the US will make it impossible for him to be in the UK for the next Strictly series.
The BBC later tweeted confirmation that last year’s Bruno’s deputy, Anton du Becke, would join the full-time panel this year alongside Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motzi Mabus.

Bruno explained on a BBC chat show that fans “should never be counted [him] outside “to return to the show at a later date or take part in the live tour before sharing heartfelt messages for his fellow judges.
“Anton, you did a fantastic job, you deserve it. That’s 10 of me, “Bruno said as he raised his shining judge’s paddle. “Go on, be proud of me – but you’ve already done it anyway.
Veteran Strictly Judge also shared his support for the new look of the judging panel, saying: “Shirley, my love, you will be much safer with Anton next to you, no more bruises than me. Motzi, don’t worry about Craig, he’s just jealous because he can’t wear your clothes.

“And Craig, well, that’s Craig, isn’t he. I actually adore him, he’s actually more fun than me behind the scenes.”
He added: “The panel was so good last year and it works, so I think it will be fantastic and have all my support, but I miss the audience more than ever, so I hope to do something else.”
As we mentioned, earlier this year it was announced that Dancing with the Stars will leave ABC in 17 years to become a live show for Disney +, for the first time for the streaming service.
Bruno is suing DWTS in the United States with former Strictly Come Dancing star Len Goodman, Derek Huff and Carrie Ann Inaba. The new season is expected to premiere at Disney + this fall.
Strictly Come Dancing is broadcast on BBC One.
