A man died today at an address in Wrexham after being bitten by a dog.
North Wales police have confirmed that a 62-year-old man has unfortunately died despite all the efforts of ambulance crews.
The Welsh ambulance was called for emergency medical care at 11.33 in the area of Holt Road in Wrexham.
They sent three ambulances, two ambulances and a Welsh ambulance to the scene.
Police were later called to the scene and closed the road.
A police spokesman said: “At 11.44 this morning (May 23rd), we responded to a request to attend Holt Road, Wrexham, to help the ambulance crew at the scene.
“A Welsh ambulance said a 62-year-old man was in cardiac arrest after being bitten by a dog on the property.
“Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of paramedics, the man was found dead at the scene.
“The man’s close relatives have been informed and our investigations into the incident are ongoing.
“Family members have asked for their privacy to be respected at the moment.
“The dog must have been detained on the property and euthanized by a veterinarian at the scene.
“Other dogs kept on the property have been removed by trained dog handlers and will be temporarily placed in a kennel while investigations continue.
