Mohamed Salah: “I will definitely stay next season” – Liverpool FC

Mohamed Salah confirmed that he “remains certain next season” as speculation about his future continues to grow with a new contract not yet signed with Liverpool.

The Egyptian’s future has been much debated throughout the season without an extension yet agreed and with his current contract, which expires in 2023.

Negotiations for contracts have been dragging on for several months, but Salah has long insisted that “it’s not about money at all.”

And Killian Mbape’s decision to stay at PSG has again sparked speculation about Salah’s future, with Real Madrid ready to throw money at a new striker.

But during Wednesday’s final Champions League press conference, Salah insisted he would be Red next season as he was asked about the current situation surrounding his contract.

“I don’t think I’m focusing on the contract right now,” Salah told reporters on Wednesday.

“I don’t want to be selfish at all, I even said that about two months ago.

“Now it’s about the team, this is a really important week for us and I’m just focused on the team.

“I want to win the Champions League again and I want to see Hendo hold the trophy in his hands again and hope to give it to me after that!

“I’m just focused on the team, I don’t want to talk about the contract now because we have a lot of time.

“I will stay next season for sure, that’s clear. I’m staying next season, so we’ll see later. “

These are words that will reassure many about the next season, but the hope remains that the extension of his contract will be arranged in time.
