We can see Sadio Mane’s last days as a Liverpool player, and Saturday may be his last with a Liverpool shirt. Manet’s form in the second half of the season was nothing more than electric, and as his contract expires in just over a year, some of Europe’s biggest clubs are monitoring his situation and considering an offer.
Manet will reveal his future after the Champions League final, but should he actually leave the club after six years of service, who should replace him? Whoever attracts Liverpool, Manet will not be easy to replace, given how deadly he has been at the door this season. As Mohamed Salah’s form dropped in the second half of the campaign, Mane turned to the plate.
“Honestly, I think the answer I can give you now is that I feel very good and I am fully focused on Saturday’s game,” Manet told ECHO this week. “That’s the answer I have to give before the final. But come back to me on Saturday and I’m sure I’ll give you the best answer you want to hear. It’s special. Then I’ll give you everything you want to hear.”

It is believed that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in making a move for the Senegalese national team, and the quality of the Liverpool striker is clear. But who could replace Manet if he leaves?
Serge Gnabri – the “contract expiration” option.
Liverpool and Bayern could do a lot of business together if Manet replaces Merseyside with Bayern. It was also stated that Gnabry could be of interest to Liverpool and that a potential swap deal could be made.
Gnabri has erupted at Bayern in the last few seasons after leaving Arsenal in 2016. Gnabri has scored 17 goals in all Bayern tournaments this season, but mainly plays on the right wing for the long-serving German champions.
In a sense, this would not be a direct replacement for Manet, as he does not act in Manet’s position. But Gnabry will make a great signature, in addition to someone else.
For now, Salah will still be in Liverpool after confirming that he will not leave this summer earlier this week, but Gnabri can move to the left and Salah can play central.
In addition, the age of Gnabry (26) would appeal to both Klopp and the FSG.
Tammy Abraham – ‘Salah repeat’ option
The Roma striker was outstanding during his first season in the Italian capital, scoring 27 goals in all competitions, helping the club win its first silver medal of 2008 in the form of the UEFA Conference League.
Abraham finished the season with 17 goals in Serie A, the most of all Englishmen in one season in the Italian game, and he could be a potential idea to replace Manet this summer.
Given how Manet plays more centrally now that Luis Diaz has arrived, Abraham’s move makes sense. However, Roma will not want to sell their precious jewel after only one season and for all purposes Abraham is happy in the Eternal City, at least for now.
He will probably stay in Rome for at least another season, or at least until Jose Mourinho leaves.
Its price would also be very high, given its shape, but given its relatively young age, it may be worth a serious investment.
Harry Kane – the “ambitious” option
Social media is flooded with allegations that Liverpool are interested in Spurs striker Harry Kane, which is probably pure fantasy. Kane, of course, was close to moving to Manchester City last summer, but Tottenham have been adamant about £ 130m +.
Kane had a mixed season. He was remarkably out of pace in the first half, but came to life in the second half under new Spurs boss Antonio Conte and finished the season with 17 goals in the Premier League.
Kane will make a brilliant signature for Liverpool, a player who can play uniquely as No.10 as well as No.9. However, as proved last summer, negotiations with Tottenham are not easy and the North London team will ask for a huge amount of money for Kane. As his contract does not expire until the summer of 2024, Daniel Levy holds all the cards.
One suspects that Kane would be happy to work under Jürgen Klopp. But at 28, his age can also work against him. The FSG is unlikely to sanction a big deal as a move for Kane, knowing they won’t get anything back on the money.
