Following a series of recent leaks, EA has officially unveiled a sequel to Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It’s called Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC sometime next year.
Although there are few details to accompany today’s announcement, EA has confirmed that the third-person action adventure will once again follow the story of Fallen Order protagonist Cal Kestis, albeit five years after the events of the first game.
The teaser trailer, released with today’s announcement, doesn’t reveal much more, but we see Cal with a lightsaber in his hand and accompanied by a trusted BD-1 robot helper who contracts his muscles for action as he continues to flee the Empire.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – Official Teaser.
It was announced that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was under development – albeit without an official name at the time – in January this year. This is one of three Star Wars projects currently being developed at Respawn, the others being a Star Wars strategy game in collaboration with Bit Reactor (a studio made up of former Firaxis veterans) and a mysterious new Star Wars FPS.
Expect more about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as it approaches in 2023 for the Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
