Calgary Flames defender Chris Tanev said on Saturday that he had a dislocated shoulder during the first round of the playoffs, TSN’s Salim Valji reported.

In addition, Tanev will be operated on with an expected recovery time of four to six months.
The 32-year-old Tanev left in the second period of match 6 against the Dallas Stars on May 13.
The Toronto-born player returned to the Calgary squad to face the Edmonton Oilers in Games 4 and 5 of their second round series.
Edmonton won the series 4-1 and will face Colorado Avelanch in the Western Conference Finals.
Tanev played all 82 games in the regular season and scored 6 goals, 22 assists and was plus 35.
He assisted in eight games during the 2021-22 playoffs.

Valji adds that Nikita Zadorov (broken ribs), Matthew Tkachuk (arm), Oliver Killington (shoulder), Milan Lucic (ACL joint dislocation) and Andrew Mangiapane (wrist) also dealt with post-season injuries, but no one will require surgery.
