The Czech Republic defeated the United States 8-4 in a bronze medal match at the IIHF Men’s World Championships in Tampere, Finland, on Sunday.
The United States led 3-1 after the first period, but the Czech Republic responded with seven goals, including six in the last frame, to secure victory.
David Pastrnak led the way to the winner with a hat trick. Jiri Chernoch, Jiri Smejkal, Roman Chervenka and David Kampf finished the result for the Czech Republic.
Carson Culman has scored twice for the United States with goals from Adam Godet and Thomas Bordelo.
