Ontario reported two additional COVID-19-related deaths, while intensive care admissions remained stable.
On Sunday, health officials said 643 people at the hospital tested positive for COVID-19, including 145 patients in intensive care.
This comes a day after the province reported 144 people in the intensive care unit – the lowest employment in COVID-19 intensive care in the province in six months.
Of those hospitalized, 40 percent received care of the virus, while the remaining people with a positive test were admitted for unrelated reasons.
In intensive care, 65% of patients were admitted to COVID-19.
Authorities have confirmed two more deaths related to the virus. One of these deaths is a patient with long-term care.
The province reported 878 new cases of COVID-19, but health officials warned that the number was underestimated due to limited testing.
With 8,213 tests processed in the last 24 hours, Ontario reported a positive test result of 8.6 percent.
