A busy Essex road remains partially closed on Thursday (June 2nd) after a truck burst into flames. The Essex Fire and Rescue Service rushed to Canvey Way, Canvey Island, after a fuel tank caught fire on Wednesday afternoon (June 1st).
Dramatic photos show the flames spewing from the truck and rising black smoke stretching over the road. Earlier in the tweet, the Essex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are at the scene of a fire in a vehicle involving a fuel tank at Canvey Way / Saddlers Farm.
“The road is closed as a precaution while our teams are working to put out the fire. We expect traffic to be affected for some time; please find an alternative route if possible.”
