Prince Andrew has tested positive for COVID, Buckingham Palace said.
The Duke of York will not be able to attend the Thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Friday to celebrate the Queen’s platinum anniversary.
A palace spokesman said: “After taking a routine test, the duke has tested positive for COVID and will unfortunately no longer attend tomorrow’s service.”

Understandably, Andrew has been dating the queen for the past few days, but he has been taking regular tests and has not seen her since he tested positive.
He was pictured Wednesday in high spirits riding a horse at the Royal Mansion in Windsor.
Andrew did not appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to celebrate his mother’s platinum anniversary on Thursday, after the Queen decided that only working members of the royal family would join her.
On the balcony with the Queen were: the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Alexandra, the Duke of Kent, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, the Royal Princess, Charles and Camilla, William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Lewis, their children and the Count and Graf Severn and Lady Louise Windsor.
Andrew’s eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, was depicted watching “Color Troping” from the window of Buckingham Palace.
On Thursday night, the Queen will direct the lighting of the main jubilee lighthouse in a special double ceremony with the monarch at Windsor Castle and her grandson William at the palace.

Andrew, the queen’s second son, retired after Virginia Juffre, who was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein, accused him of sexually abusing her when she was 17.
The duke denied the allegations and agreed to an out-of-court settlement, reportedly up to £ 12 million, after Ms Giuffre sued Andrew.
