An employee at a funeral home in Texas – among the first to come face to face with a mad school shooter, Salvador Ramos – said cops had stopped him to rush to save the children.
Cody Brisseno said he and a colleague initially ran to help Ramos after the 18-year-old killer crashed his pickup truck in front of Rob’s primary school on May 24 – but turned back when he saw Ramos armed with an “evil eye”. his face, he told NBC News in an interview broadcast Sunday.
“I see him crawling out of the passenger’s window. I tell him, “Hey, man, are you okay? Are you okay? “Brisseno said at the exit.” We locked our eyes and he gave me that mood.
“He looked at me immediately with that evil look and I see this rifle,” he said. “He shot at both of us and I just heard a ricochet.
Ramos opened fire on the men across the street before entering the school through an unlocked door, police said.
Brisseno, who was not hit, then snatched his own gun from his wife and rushed to the school, where Ramos barricaded himself and continued to kill, killing 19 fourth-graders and two teachers and injuring 17 others.
“Hey, what are you going to do?” The funeral director said a cop asked as he ran to school.

“I’m coming in and trying to stop them,” Brisseno told the cop. “I told him that [Ramos is] already inside the school. “
But the cop, he claims, told him to stay and shut up.
Since then, Brizeno has been involved in the services for several victims at the Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home across the street from Robb Elementary.

He will not say which department the policeman was in, but cops and local officials have come under intense criticism for waiting more than an hour to retrieve Ramos, who has been locked in two adjoining classrooms.
A mother who tried to rush inside the school to abduct her children said she was being held by cops and handcuffed while begging police to take action.
Uvaldo School District Police Chief Peter Aredondo reportedly detained police for more than an hour before the heroic Border Patrol agents rushed past them and killed Ramos.

Arendondo had no police radio when he rushed to the school. The frantic youths called 911 from the classroom to report the massacre, and shots were heard during the calls.
Aredondo, who was elected to a seat on Uwalde’s city council, took a secret oath of office last week despite community protests.
Meanwhile, the funerals of the young victims will continue next week.
