At least three people were killed and 14 were shot dead after a shooting in front of a nightclub in Chattanooga, Tennessee at night, the city’s second mass shooting in the past week.
Two died from gunshot wounds and a third from a car crash, according to Chattanooga Police Chief Celeste Murphy. Three other people were injured in cars fleeing the scene.
The chief told reporters that the shooting was an “isolated incident” and said there were probably “multiple shooters”.
Murphy said the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not yet known and called on the public for help.
“No matter how small and insignificant you may think it is, please contact us,” she said.
The identities of the victims and suspects have not been revealed.
Last weekend, six teenagers were shot dead in central Chattanooga during a clash between two large groups. No one has been arrested and this shooting.
