Apple has revealed the changes that iOS 16 will make in notifications, its most significant update in the field since the launch of iOS 12 in 2018. This update allowed automatic grouping of notifications for applications, but now, with iOS 16, it becomes even more organized .
It has a completely redesigned lock screen, personalized with gadgets that look just like the complications of the Apple Watch. Lock screen notifications now appear below and can be hidden at the bottom of the lock screen.

The latest feature is called Live Activities, it can pin notifications that act as widgets, such as live sports scores from the Apple TV app, which remain on the lock screen. Live activities come with a new API so developers can take advantage and create new ongoing experiences.
IPhone notifications have historically been a terribly managed system. With the new changes, Apple is finally catching up with Android, with a flexible way to manage notifications.
