Harry and Megan released a photo of Lilibet’s daughter on her first birthday

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex posted a photo of their daughter Lilibet after celebrating their first birthday.

Lilibett’s photo, celebrating the occasion with Sussex’s family and close friends at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor on Saturday, is believed to have been taken by family friend Misan Harriman.

Harry and Megan’s second child, born June 4, 2021 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California, was named after Queen Elizabeth II.

The couple said they were “incredibly moved” by the birthday wishes that flooded Lillibet.

More than $ 100,000 (£ 79,800) in donations to the World Central Kitchen was made in her honor by people from all over the world, for which the Duke and Duchess also expressed their gratitude.

The organization provides food for those affected by humanitarian, climate and social crises and is said to be particularly close to the couple’s hearts.

The queen reportedly met with her great-granddaughter Lilibet for the first time on Thursday while the Sussex family was in London for the monarch’s platinum anniversary celebrations last week.

According to the royal commentator Omid Scoby, co-author of the biography of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “Finding Freedom”, the couple presented their youngest child to the Queen on Thursday.

The alleged meeting took place before Lilibet’s first birthday on Saturday.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast on Friday, Scobie said: “I think people are expecting some big extravagant birthday event, from which we will see photos. We should not expect anything from what they told me.

“These moments with Lilibet are very personal between them and the queen, and of course we know how much she expected it.

“They were detained by a pandemic. Of course, when Harry was here, he was alone in rather grim cases. And that was really the first time. “

Scobie continued: “Of course we know that the Queen returned to Windsor Castle yesterday, the couple also returned to Windsor, where they stayed at Frogmore Cottage.

“So this would be the first moment or the first chance for her to meet her namesake.”
