Police cordoned off a home after shots fired through a window.
Officers confirmed that they were called to Mill Lane, Waverty, around 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, after reports were fired. On the spot, forensic scientists found that the window of a house was damaged by shots.
Witnesses say they saw four masked men in dark clothes chase each other on bicycles and scooters when they were shot. Police say no casualties have been reported so far.

Pictures from the scene show that a children’s slide and a goal are in the front garden of a filmed house. There is also a children’s playground and a park just opposite the shooting.
Detectives believe the target fired, making it the second targeted shooting in Merseyside in two days. On Monday, June 6, they were shot through the window, front door and brickwork of a house in Springvale Close, Kirkby.
It is believed that the suspect or suspects moved away from the scene in the direction of Dagnal Road after the shooting in Kirkby. The cordon remains on Mill Lane’s site while investigations continue.
Commenting on the Wavertray shooting, Detective Inspector Katie Kutt said: “I would urge anyone who was in the area after 6pm tonight, who witnessed the incidents or who has any information, to come out.
“I would also like to urge anyone with video surveillance, control camera or recording on any other device to take the time to check if they have taken any footage that could help us find those responsible. Shooting a gun in a residential street is extremely reckless and dangerous and shows total disregard for the safety of local residents.
“A weapon in the hands of criminals can be fatal, and we are committed to fighting gun crime to make our streets safer. Any information you have can be vital to our inquiries, so please tell us what you know so that we can remove dangerous weapons and those who use them from our streets. “
Speaking about the Kirkby shooting, Detective Chief Inspector Rachel Wilson reiterated the importance of people sharing information and said: “We are at a very early stage in this investigation. We want to talk to all the witnesses or anyone who has any information. We understand the fear that gun crimes cause, and I would like to assure the community that we believe that this is a targeted attack, one that we are carefully investigating.
“Firearms have no place on the streets of Merseyside, and we remain committed to removing them and the people who choose to carry them. It is absolutely vital that we get all the information from those communities that are feeling the impact of gun crimes so that we can bring those responsible to justice.
“It happened in a residential area and there will probably be people who may have witnessed the incident or who is responsible. I would urge anyone who was at Springvale Close last night and saw something or someone suspicious to contact the police.
“Similarly, if you have driven in the area and have footage from the dashboard, please review it and tell us if you see anything. The information you hold may be vital to our investigation.
“Shooting a gun in a residential street is extremely reckless and dangerous and could have led to more tragic circumstances. So if you know anything, please tell us and we will take action against the perpetrators. “
