Britney Spears’ ex-husband was arrested at the singer’s home in Los Angeles – while she was preparing to marry her partner Sam Asgari.
Police officers responded to the incident by breaking into the address and later arrested 40-year-old Jason Alexander.
A spokesman for the department confirmed that Alexander had been arrested on a warrant outside the county and had been transported from the scene to a police station after the incident.
The intimate wedding ceremony between the 40-year-old singer and her 28-year-old fitness trainer partner is expected to take place on Thursday.
Shortly before the incident, her ex-partner Alexander posted a live story on Instagram near the property, in which he said he was there to “break up” the wedding.
Spears and Asgari got engaged in September last year, and the singer joked that the proposal was “too late”.
The 13-year-old mentor who controlled her life was terminated by the Los Angeles Supreme Court last November.

Spears married Alexander, her childhood friend, in 2004. But they were married for a total of 55 hours before being annulled.
Thursday’s wedding was set to be the singer’s third trip to the altar since she divorced Kevin Federline in 2007.
Spears has two children, Sean and Jaden, by her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
