Police cordoned off a residential street in Mosley last night. There was a police presence on Hayfield Road.
The photos shared with BirminghamLive show much of the road blocked by employees. Police cars can be seen at both ends.
One photo shows cones blocking access to part of the road, but it has since reopened.

A local resident, speaking on condition of anonymity, told BirminghamLive: “I was walking the dog there just before 8pm and saw a police car parked at a mini roundabout. There was a police van parked at the other end as well as a police tape. It looked pretty serious. “
