MSNBC January 6 hearing surpasses regular Fox News rankings

Fox News’s decision not to broadcast the committee’s first hearing on Thursday night in prime time on January 6 seems to have the opposite effect, at least in terms of ratings, as the regular network lags behind MSNBC in first place, leading the cable news rating by 4 , 1 million viewers, according to Nielsen’s early figures. Fox’s counter-programming by Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity drew an average of 3 million viewers, while CNN came in third with 2.6 million, although it also showed a full hearing. In total, at least 20 million people watched the first hearing on multiple networks, with ABC leading the way with 4.8 million viewers. It is followed by NBC and CBS with 3.5 million and 3.3 million respectively. Fox Business, which covered the hearings led by Brett Bayer and Martha McCallum, gathered only 223,000 people.
