Emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash with multiple vehicles on Memorial Drive near Deerfoot Trail on Saturday morning, an incident that affected traffic in the area.
According to a post on social media from the city of Calgary, the accident happened around 5 am in the area of Memorial Drive, which crosses the path of Deerfoot.
Officials say the western lanes of the road are currently closed and there is no access to the eastern lanes of the Driver’s Memorial heading south on Deerfoot.
EMS confirmed to CTV News that two adults, a woman and a man, were taken to Foothills Medical Center from the scene.
Authorities say the woman was in a serious but stable condition, while the man was in a serious and potentially life-threatening condition at the time.
There is currently no update on their terms.
