Toby Keith has revealed that he is battling cancer and treating the disease.
The 60-year-old country music star went on social media on Sunday (June 12th) to share the news of his illness with fans.
“I was diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall,” Keith began his tweet. “I spent the last 6 months in chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. So far so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax. ”
The singer added: “I look forward to spending time with my family. But I will see the fans soon. I can not wait.”

Keith had several North American concert dates between mid-June and early November listed on the website during the press. A spokesman for the artist told Billboard that some of these dates would be postponed.
The singer’s latest album, Peso in my Pocket, was released in October 2021 via Show Dog Nashville.
