A former British soldier was killed in battles for Ukraine in one of the most intense battles in the three months since the Russian invasion.
Jordan Gatley, who served in the British Army until March, was shot dead in Severodonetsk, an eastern city that has been the scene of battles for weeks.
Russia believes the city in the Luhansk region is vital to securing its broader goal of controlling the entire Donbass and has made a profit before being repulsed by Ukrainian forces and those like Gatli fighting them.
