“Eunuch” must be sex, according to the Scottish NHS

An eunuch must be recognized as an official gender identity, according to documents published by the Scottish NHS.

The National Clinical Network on Gender Identity for Scotland (NGICNS) shared the claims of the World Professional Association for Transsexual Health (WPATH) that “eunuch-identified people” are the “least visible” trans group and will benefit from medical care that affirms gender ”. .

The document was deleted on Wednesday night and the Scottish government apologized, claiming it had been published in error.

The document was uploaded on the NHS’s official website as part of a consultation on proposed updates to its guidelines, which the NHS of Scotland says it is currently following.

He defines a eunuch as “an individually appointed male person at birth whose testicles have been surgically removed or dysfunctional and who identifies as an eunuch” and “individuals who believe that their true selves are best expressed by the term eunuch.”

Eunuchs “generally want their testicles removed surgically or made non-functional,” the document said.

It adds that eunuchs should be offered “surgery” if there is a risk that stopping treatment will lead to an attempt to perform a medical procedure on their own.

The document also provides a direct link to a website that includes graphic and sexually explicit fictional descriptions of eunuch children.

When registering on a website called the Eunuch’s Archive, users are asked to choose their interests from an options menu that includes “forced castration” and a “smooth look.”

“This is a barbaric practice.”

Susan Smith, of the Women’s Scotland Campaign Group, said: “We are disgusted that NHS Scotland thinks it is appropriate to agree with any organization that promotes a ‘eunuch identity’, let alone host a document. about it on your website. This is a barbaric practice that has been used for centuries to humiliate and abuse young men and boys. ”

Other organizations that support the eunuch as a gender identity are the Royal College of Nursing, which cites it as an “alternative” along with terms such as “boy”, “girl” or “gender queer”.

The controversy follows the emergence of “Nullo”, a movement among those who do not want to identify as men or women.

A 44-year-old man known as the “eunuch maker” was arrested in London in December for allegedly dozens of castrations in his basement apartment in north London.

David Parker, a leading clinician at NGICNS and a member of WPATH, this week called on SMEs to support proposed SNP reforms that would make it easier for trans people to change their legal gender to male or female.

He told the Hollywood commission investigating the plans that trance and non-binary people are “experts in their own experience” and should be “recognized as their authentic selves.”

Some transgender activists have called for the legislation to be amended so that a wider range of gender identities can be formally recognized.

Opponents of plans that would allow people to change their legal sex simply by signing a declaration fear that they will be exploited by male fetishists to gain access to women’s spaces for their own sexual gratification.

Susan Buchanan, director of Scotland’s National Specialized Services Division, apologized for uploading the documents by mistake and said her organization would now launch a full investigation into the incident.

A spokesman for the Scottish Government said: “This material was published in error. The documents have been removed and we apologize to all concerned.”

NGICNS was asked for comment.
