Some users report having problems with iOS Instagram Stories, where they are forced to view all contact stories more than once before they can see the new ones. I myself have not encountered this problem, but there are several reports on Reddit about the problem.
However, the problem must now disappear. Instagram has released an update for the app in the iOS App Store, which seems to have fixed the problem.
A spokesman for Meta told The Verge in an email that the company was “aware that some people have trouble accessing Instagram Stories” and that “it is working to get things back to normal as soon as possible”.
The fix comes with “version 239.1” of the iOS app on Instagram.
